Step 1 - Select the Column (or top-most Cell of the Column) where you want to split the worksheet by clicking on its Column letter. To split an Excel worksheet vertically at a Column, follow below steps. Once the active worksheet is split into different panes, you can compare different areas of worksheet by scrolling horizontally or vertically. Each Split Pane has separate scrollbar, so that you can scroll them separately. There is a feature in Excel, which allows you to split the active worksheet into Split Panes horizontally or vertically. If the worksheet is very large, it is not possible to view different areas of the worksheet at same time by zooming out the worksheet.
When you are working in a very large Excel worksheet, sometimes you may want to view different areas of the worksheet at same time.
